This is the cat at my parent's house. She has no name. My parents call her "Cat." She sleeps on my bed every night.
I have tried to tell her that I am not my brother.
"I am not Panauh," I tell her.
"Me-ow," she coos.
"Oh, okay," I say, and pat her on the head. "I will call you Gorbachov."

hello Gorbie (a poem)
by Carver Montachristo
cat paws
cat paws
you can never take our whiskers
cat paws
cat paws
we are more than flexible fur
cat paws
cat paws
you are regal like me in this way
cat paws
cat paws
we can only hide in the hamper for so long
